Point Reyes

Point Reyes is usually a popular destination situated in California’s Marin County. Its position just 30 kilometres from San Francisco causes it to be an ideal spot to escape from the strain of city life.
Also known as the Point Reyes Peninsula, this destination is considered a national treasure and it is protected with the US National Park Service. The contrast in landscapes in this subject is impressive to put it mildly. Point Reyes boasts rocky headlands and long sandy beaches that both meet lush, open grasslands, brushy hillsides and forested ridges. These stunning landscapes are essentially what choose this region so appealing.

The Lighthouse is an additional important a growing concern in the region. Situated atop a rocky cliff, the lighthouse provides unsurpassed views on the coastline, and just cannot be missed.

The Point Reyes climate is seen as warm dry summers and cool, rainy winters. This makes summer a perfect time to visit, however tourists needs to be prepared for some dense fog. Visitors also needs to expect strong winds essentially all year round because of its peninsula position.
